Sheng Kung Hui Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School

S.K.H. Lam Woo Memorial Secondary School is an anglican secondary school located at Kwai Shing Circuit, Kwai Chung, the New Territories, Hong Kong. The school was founded in 1970 by Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and was named after Mr. Lam Woo for his generous donations and enthusiasm about promoting education. It is one of the parish schools of Crown of Thorns' Church. The school motto is "the truth will make you free", which is a quote from the ''bible'' . The mission of the school is to "provide students with an all-round education aimed at excellence in spiritual, virtual, intellectual, physical, inter-personal and aesthetic development".

The school is notable for its academic achievements as evident in students' public examination results. In the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination 2007, each student scored 5.1 distinctions and credits on average, which is above average among secondary schools in Hong Kong. In 2008, the school announced its first student getting 10As in the HKCEE since the foundation of school.

Students and Staff



The school consists of 1,227 students from 31 classes and 70 staff at the year of 2006/2007 and is headed by the Ms. Rhonda Leung Lai Kum .

Music Department



The Music Department is part of the school's Cultural Faculty. The teacher-in-charge is Ms. Lee Siu-mei , the school's music teacher.
The department runs six Music School Teams and more than 80 Instrument Training Classes with the assistance of the Extra-Curricular Activities Section of the Non-Academic Development Division.
